Lutheran Advocacy Ministry - Colorado is one of twelve State Public Policy Advocacy Offices of the ELCA. It is a ministry of the Rocky Mountain Synod and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America in partnership with ELCA World Hunger. Legislative advocacy is a crucial part of the church's ministry. Advocacy is speaking with and on behalf of another to protect human rights and promote responsible care of God's creation.
Lutheran Advocacy Ministry Colorado:
+ Speaks with and on behalf of people living in poverty
and those with little or no voice in the political process
+ Advocates for just, sound and compassionate public policies
which protect human rights and promote the responsible care of creation
+ Works in coalition with other faith-based, secular,
and service organizations with common commitments
+ Supports ELCA members, congregations and agencies
in the ministry of public-policy advocacy
