ELCA Social Statement on Criminal Justice in process
(Web Site)

The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America is preparing a social statement that addresses issues in criminal justice. The 2013 Churchwide Assembly, it is anticipated, will consider the proposed social statement. This website is the place to learn about its development and to find resources for thinking about the issues.

Colorado Criminal Justice Reform Coalition (Web Site)

The Colorado Criminal Justice Reform Coalition (CCJRC) was originally founded as a project of the Rocky Mountain Peace & Justice Center to halt the exponential growth in the state prison population. This nonprofit organization consists of over 100 diverse organizations and faith communities and over 4,800 individuals from across the state.  CCJRC advocates for the expansion of funding for treatment, alternatives to incarceration, and reintegration services to people leaving prison, and opposes the use of for-profit prisons in Colorado.
