We appreciate your interest in advocacy ministry and hope these resources will be helpful to you and your congregation. Your involvement in advocacy ministry is important, and we ask that you prayerfully consider taking action in any or all of these ways:

Learn

~ Read about an issue which impacts people living in poverty. Check the "Issues" link for resources.

~ Attend our annual Faith Advocacy Day in February. We'll learn about critical issues this year and visit the state capitol.

~ Attend our Ending Hunger workshop each fall to learn what you can do to end hunger.

  • Pray

    ~ Pray for all ELCA advocacy ministries and for guidance as to how you might be called to get involved.

    Act

    ~ Respond to action alerts during legislative sessions by contacting your legislators. Click here for active alerts.

    ~ Check the "Resources" link for tips on how to call, write, and visit your legislators.

    ~ Plan an advocacy activity for your congregation. Go to the "Resources" section for toolkits and ideas.

Help Us Help You


~ Invite us to parnter in the advocacy ministry of your congregation. Perhaps we could facilitate and adult forum or bible study,
participate in a youth event or a letter-writing project.

~ Let us know which issues are most important to you, and how we can support you in your advocacy ministry.
